The agreement for the temporary use of the municipal space, located on the Manresa road, number 51, was unanimously approved during the last plenary session. This agreement will allow the SEM to offer sanitary transport services with medicalized ambulances, reinforcing emergency care in the region.
The adaptation works for the building will be carried out by the SEM, and the new 24-hour service is expected to be operational between April or May 2026. This addition complements the ambulance service already provided by the CAP de Moià.
“"The health of our inhabitants is a priority service."
Mayor Dionís Guiteras highlighted the importance of the resource for the citizens of Moià and Moianès, noting that the SEM proposal responds to the number of emergency cases occurring in the area. The pact has an initial duration of four years, extendable up to a maximum of four more.
Once this agreement is approved, the council will have to manage a new agreement with the Red Cross to divide and separate the spaces, although the joint location will allow both entities to “combine efforts and complement each other,” reinforcing the site as a health reference point.
