The Balaguer City Council, located in the Noguera region, launched an innovative program in July 2025 to promote the conscious and safe use of screens among minors.

This project is considered pioneering at the local level and responds to the growing social concern about the effects of excessive exposure to digital technologies on the mental health and development of children and adolescents.
The plan will focus on training both young people and parents and educators, providing tools to identify and manage risks associated with the internet, such as cyberbullying or social media addiction.
The implementation of these measures will be carried out in close collaboration with educational centers in Balaguer and various social entities, ensuring a comprehensive and coordinated approach to the issue of digital well-being.
