The Consell Comarcal del Pallars Sobirà presented a new digital job board in Sort on Tuesday to facilitate generational replacement and cover the lack of labor in the agricultural sector.

The tool, available on this website, allows both employers and job seekers to register easily. Offers are displayed on an interactive map, facilitating searches based on geographical location. Profiles are varied, ranging from shepherds and veterinarians to cheesemakers, and can be filtered by type of livestock (bovine, ovine, caprine, equine, porcine, or poultry) and sector (livestock, agriculture, or product processing).

"The goal is for this tool and the one just launched in Pallars Sobirà to end up merging to combine efforts instead of competing."

This initiative is part of the BEEP (Forest Bioeconomy) project, presented this Tuesday at the conference held in Sort. The project involved an investment of 200,000 euros, financed by the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge through the European Next Generation funds.
Beyond the job board, the website aims to gather resources, including information on subsidies and a specific section to mentor generational replacement. The BEEP strategy also focuses on recovering about 150 hectares of pastures and designing ecotourism products to diversify the local economy without losing the rural essence.
