The Education and Culture technician, Anna Roca, explained that the main objective of the new proposal is to place cultural heritage and the territory at the center of the learning process. This educational tool, unique in Solsonès, seeks to complement the knowledge acquired in school, turning the museum into a learning space.
“"It is important for students to leave the classroom and learn in real contexts because these types of learning are much deeper, much more lasting, and therefore much more transferable to the real life they will encounter later."
The project is promoted by the educational services of the Diocesan and Regional Museum of Solsona, in coordination with the Solsonès Pedagogical Resource Center (CRP). The connection between heritage and the educational curriculum has been achieved through collaboration with the CRP, which helped identify relevant curricular competencies.
“"A project of these characteristics leads to the promotion of a more critical citizenry, more knowledgeable about its own heritage, therefore it is expected to be a citizenry that takes better care of it."
This methodology encourages experiential and practical learning, with activities including school visits, thematic workshops, and the creation of exhibitions based on school projects. An example of this active participation is the project's graphic brand, developed by 3rd year ESO students from the Solsona Institute, reinforcing the museum's role as an educational agent within the community.
