The Picasso Centre in Horta has inaugurated an exhibition featuring nineteen unpublished photographs taken by Pablo Picasso during his second and significant stay in Horta de Sant Joan.

The exhibition highlights the lesser-known side of the artist as a photographer, capturing moments and scenes that influenced his subsequent artistic production. The nineteen images document the period when Picasso returned to the town in the Terra Alta region.
This second visit to Horta de Sant Joan, which the painter considered his "spiritual homeland," was fundamental for the development of his style, particularly in the transition towards Cubism.
The Picasso Centre in Horta, dedicated to preserving the artist's legacy linked to the town, thus continues its work of disseminating little-explored material of high documentary value.
